Paul does surgery on Trusty's spider
Trusty's favorite toy is a huge stuffed spider. Originally it had four squeakers, the one in the body a very deep and loud one. That one stopped working, as did one of the leg squeakers. But Trusty had not actually tried to destroy this toy until last week, when he pulled all the stuffing and the dead squeaker out of the body section. He was then quite worried that his toy didn't perform properly. A limp spider is not a fun spider.
So Paul decided to do surgery on it. We had permission from Trusty to photograph the surgical procedure:

I had collected all the stuffing, and Paul returned it to the body cavity.

Paul used upholstery needles and surgical clamps to perform the actual procedure.

The procedure was successful, and Trusty is happy with his recoveredpet toy.
